I think it was definitely underwhelming on first impression because it was supposed to be Drake’s magnum opus on some Black Album/Carter 3/MBDTF s*** but in retrospect the album is full of insanely high quality songs

So many amazing tracks on there and it’s aged really well

ok agreed, 305 to my city is a weak track but I respectfully disagree on the other two

and when you think about it from your perspective, do 3/15 tracks really invalidate it as an incredible album? easily drake's artist peak, and his most coherent work to date. might stand the test of time even longer than take care tbh

I said it was great! It’s like an 8-8.5 out of 10. I just don’t think it’s a CLASSIC album.

Views, like many of drakes post-2015 albums, just suffers from a lack of careful editing. if he had chosen to remove some of the
"weaker"/filler tracks it would probably be many's favourite. truly an under appreciated work in his catalogue

one of my favourite parts of views is the distinct Canadian seasons he progresses through the album. there's definitely a strong stretch of songs throughout (chronologically, which is something that he had struggled with throughout much of his career) that can appeal to any season

fair enough, its still early to consider it a classic I suppose. 7 years isn't that long in the grand scheme of things
