Taxidermy been a normal thing for like a hundred or so years. People been doing s*** to dead animals for a very long time. People been eating dead animals since the dawn of man. People been using dead animal bodies for a whole lotta s*** since forever. S***, people be using dead animals and their bones or skin for fertilizer, shoes, furniture, coats, etc.

Knowing all that...it's really not as weird as y'all making it out to be.

Look I’m a materialist so I don’t think witch craft and other forms of mysticism have any real power

At the same time I’m not going to sit around and clown it when it’s s*** certain cultures have been doing for hundreds of years and are an important part of their traditions, never mind the ways in which women and other oppressed groups have had to face immense amounts of violent terror under the guise of witch hunts and stuff so white capitalist men can keep them under heel. As long as people doing magic and s*** are not hurting anyone it’s not my business even if I personally think that stuff is dumb.

Plus like kidkuro saying this ultimately isn’t much worse than a lot of s*** our society participates in and it just betrays a lot of chauvinistic tendencies when people freak out about this stuff

I’m saying that Azealia knows how people will respond to this. She’s doing it for attention. She can say she’s just partaking in witchcraft and it’s part of her culture and all that good stuff. She filmed herself digging up her dead cat and putting it in a soup, knowing that people will be bewildered. If she doesn’t want criticism and attention then she wouldn’t have posted it.

Also the fact that it was her own cat, and not just a random animal, makes it especially gross. Yeah I have eaten crab and crawfish and they’re gross, but I don’t know these guys personally. People eat pig a*******, but they weren’t friends with the pigs lmao. Azealia apparently owned this cat, and then dug it out of the ground and threw it in a soup and watched it’s fur and flesh melt off of its body.
