Doom has way too much depth to be reduced to an iron man variant and only lasting 2 films is a slap in the face as well, I understand there’s a comic run where Tony goes bad and becomes doom but that s*** sucked. Doom deserves to be victor not tony stark and the reed & doom relationship is one of the best things about secret wars & marvel comics as a whole. It’s lazy casting period and it’s going to end up being rdj doom vs an iron man variant also being played as rdj to end the secret war. They need to let reed be the hero of secret wars but they’re introducing the character too late

im optimistic this will be fine given the circumstances. there really isnt much they could do to properly build up an avengers villain in such a short time frame imo

using RDJ here as a variant Doom seems like it can result in a really nice end to the multiverse saga, while still allowing fans to have a connection to the villain and not just see them as some one off (which funny enough, he will be)

I also dont think this will be the last we see of doom, and if it is even for a short time, I'd imagine it's because they had the next big bad already in place before majors s*** happened.

just seems really dumb that they would waste such a villain for two movies and so i have my doubts hell be a 1/2 off and death.
