Nah infinity war being an objectively better movie is just the facts

Different armor from the two outfits we’ve been seeing too

IW fully lived up to the hype of a decade of lead up, increased that same hype for endgame, gave us the iconic cultural on screen villain of thanos and was a great ride regardless of if you had seen anything the mcu previously

End game was bloated nostalgia trip, made thanos look like an idiot compared to IW. It was a fitting cap to the saga and did its job, but it was clearly rushed

Filming both at the same time was def a mistake

Imo Thanos, Thor’s journey with Rocket and Groot, Tony/Strange/Spidey’s adventure, Guardians, Thor arriving in Wakanda, and Thanos in Wakanda are all better than anything in Endgame that isn’t Mjolnir Cap-Avengers Assemble and Tony’s snap

The dialogue is stronger, the locations are more pleasing and expressive, the obstacles are more challenging to the characters, and the story has more momentum

Infinity War is a more epic movie, Endgame has epic moments

“Endgame doesn’t play like a movie”

This sentence means absolutely nothing

Infinity War just has more action

The “theme park ride” y’all describe Endgame as 100% applies to Infinity War more than it does to Endgame

Endgame is impeccably structured and paced

The dialogue is stronger, the locations are more pleasing and expressive, the obstacles are more challenging to the characters, and the story has more momentum

All of this is how I would describe Endgame

IW has more action sure but endgame has far too much dead exposition time. Too much corny marvel humor. It spends time setting up time travel rules it breaks before the movie is over. Things aren’t done for the story, they’re done to have set pieces. It created inconsistencies (Tony stark could make a gauntlet but thanos had to go to a forge on a star? The whole movie relies on a rat walking over buttons on the pyms van? The hulk? Tony stark holding his own against thanos with a gauntlet in IW but the big three struggling with a less powerful thanos with no gauntlet?)

IW has set pieces that also work within the story

It doesn’t break any time travel rules, this has been debated for years

Infinity War has way more corny Marvel humor than Endgame does (the friendly neighborhood… wait nevermind line still pisses me off to this day)

Infinity War is the one that’s literally just set piece after set piece and action scene after action scene with nothing really going on underneath it. It’s Hype & Aura The Movie (and it’s pretty good at it)

Respectfully disagree. I think IW has much more replay value, after my second watch of endgame I just skipped to the good scenes. They both have corny humor for sure but I guess it’s just what kind you can stand. The entire hulk cafe scene in endgame and fat Thor jokes after that first scene are grade a cringe

when i watched i always thought both were amazing & the thought of comparing literally never went into my head

I agree that Infinity War has more replay value, but that alone don’t make it a better film

IW is easier to rewatch because it’s quick, fast-paced, and action-packed. Endgame is almost the complete opposite of that

I think both are great movies I just prefer Endgame
