TDUB701You right that resurrection not the right word but bringing back Wolverine rdj and cap was def not on the cards at the time this is a pivot/course correction after the shift to new characters fizzled
once spider-man got brought in and disney purchased fox, it was a goal to get these characters all in one shared universe
now i agree with the notion that some characters did not land the mark but i believe certain actors were always in the cards to return (rdj & chris evans) long before the public soured on marvel and the majors incident happened. it would’ve been much more of a surprise if not for that
but the moment chris evans vehemently denied ever returning to a mcu movie i knew that nigga was lying lmao

TheFaderQuantumania released in Feb. 2023, the Majors incident happened in March 2023, RDJ was announced as Doom in July 2024.
It seems like in that one year period is when the decision to pivot to Doom was made, but they still had multiple projects on the way that were either featuring Kang or were already too far into production to include Doom.
- Filming for Loki Season 2, which Kang was heavily involved in, had finished by October 2022. The season premiered in October 2023.
Guardians Vol. 3 & The Marvels were both already shot and set to be released in May 2023 and November 2023 respectively.
Deadpool & Wolverine began filming in May 2023, was paused in July due to the strikes, and resumed in November.
Brave New World finished filming by June 2023.
Thunderbolts* was originally supposed to film in Summer 2023, but was delayed to February 2024 due to the strikes, but the film was already fully written and casted.
Fantastic Four was already fully written and casted by the start of 2024 as well, and it began filming in July.
There basically was not a single film in which Doom could’ve been feasibly added to post-Quantumania because all of them were way too deep in production by the time that RDJ was even brought on as Doom

Source material doesn’t require it follows the same tropes or cons . There are non comic book movies that have reviving characters that do it for MONEY

Comic books didn’t invent bad writing , infinite revives of characters tv shows and movies have been doing it before . Me pointing out a comic book movie doesn’t isn’t a “ it’s based on a comic book “ moment . No s*** it’s based on a comic book . Will still be there to see it .

Deaths and revivals in comics get criticized as well. Its not something that has to be adapted
