I think it’s moreso they way they carried themselves and treated the franchise at the end of said characters alleged storyline, the “this is it” energy that made all the movies leading up to Endgame so exciting

everyone knows they doing this cause the last 7 years been flop after flop, not cause it’s not comic enough lol

its kind of hilarious theres a crowd thats like "these things arent comic book-y enough!" and that same crowd somehow hates characters never dying.. really makes u think doesnt it brothers?

Its different for comics cause they run on for so long, characters can't stay gone forever. But a lot of times they just reboot the storyline if they want characters back or write a non mainline comics.

If mcu want cap back they should of wait till after secret wars to soft reboot it

I agree with you 100%. I don’t think Doomsday exists if Marvel had replicated the same level of success post-Endgame.

With that being said, the phenomenon of bringing back old/dead characters is not something that no other comic book movie has ever done, nor is Doomsday even the first time that the MCU has done it.

The X-Men franchise brought back a dead character damn near every single movie.

And in the MCU: No Way Home, Multiverse of Madness, and Deadpool & Wolverine are all examples of Marvel going back into the well to revive or bring back old beloved characters.

I do completely believe that RDJ as Doom never happens if the MCU remained uber-successful after Endgame, but I think Steve coming back was always going to happen at some point, eventually with how they left the character in Endgame

you bring up X-Men, but the way those franchises treated those “revivals” was always part of the plot in the movies cause they always left a cliffhanger towards those characters deaths. I’m just remembering how they treated endgame and these characters, it was over lmfao. Chris Evans said he didn’t want to do it anymore and it’s best to leave it where it is Hugh Jackman never treated Wolverine like that. they copping out to save this s*** after all the flops lmao. i get what you’re saying though. I’m still excited, I never wanted them to leave. I been wanted secret wars, idrc for Doom tho but I guess it will establish the plot for secret wars. F4 my favorite heroes, but man the movies don’t ever hit

And Sam got a whole show about him taking up the mantle then a movie sequel.

Was Cap 4 great? No, but I think it established Sam as capable in the role. Who knows, Sam could have more screen time than Steve by the end of Doomsday. We really won't know until the movie is out.

Highly doubt they would bring rogers back and make him the first teaser of this huge movie just to be a nomad lol

What I meant is that Sam had one movie as Captain America that wasnt even received well compared to the beloved Steve iteration that has gotten 3 films and 4 avengers appearances. Putting both on screen as Captain America, no one's gonna care for Sam.

Yeah we wont know till the film but its just a not a good look to bring both Chris Evans and RDJ back
