Tbf it’s not the most hype of teasers lol
I've been a champion of marvel criticism this decade. I got stirred by the music. the actual visuals are whatever really kinda bland in this teaser, it's the music that got me a lot excited in the theater last night.
The Thor one should be really good just based on the audio and the Doom has to be good, they can't f*** that one up.
I remember people in the audience getting excited at the Exorcism trailer a couple years ago and no one cared when it came out so
I know this was the first look at the movie outside of the T* and F4 credit scenes, but all that matters in hooking people will be the Doom tease and the official trailer
So many loser ass tweets tryna go viral on some “my theater was silent after the Doomsday”
My theater clapped & cheered after it ended
Once meme/engagements accounts realized they could bang off of MCU hate, any attempt at honest discussion became near impossible to have on that platform, and it has trickled down.
I don’t doubt that there are some audiences who aren’t going to react, but the reasons for that could be many, not to mention it isn’t very difficult to find clips of audiences reacting positively to the teaser. For some to make a generality about the entire movie going public and say that “the world” is done with the MCU, it’s just silly, and I’m seeing tweets like that from people who are meant to be professionals, whose work appears in some pretty big publications and websites.
I won’t lie, my anticipation for Doomsday lies in morbid curiosity more than anything else, but when I see stuff like that it makes me wonder if this movie even really has a chance, regardless of its quality.
I feel like the multiverse saga was definitely going somewhere tho, before the stuff with Jonathan majors. Shang chi and Ms marvel having tech that looked like his, constant multiversal incursions and events, passing of torches, lots of people getting stuck in alternate universes or messing with the rules of it, it definitely felt like it was leading to something specific. Sure it wasn't communicated as directly as IT WAS ALL THANOS, but it seemed pretty heavily implied (and directly stated) that IT WAS ALL KANG was about to happen, I think ppl should be more honest and say they just didn't like it vs. saying there was no throughline
Even with the doom pivot, I can see how it could lead to that too, it's not the most convoluted thing
still a s*** ton of time to hype up Doomsday so i dont expect a good trailer until Feb/Superbowl tbh
if all the avatar teasers are mid im fine w it

i think they just did it way too early.
multiverse feels like they were looking for a direction and saw spiderverse make a billion dollars and decided okay thats what we're doing.
But as the second main storyline its just kinda like "oh okay so there are a billion iron men and they don't really matter individually."
Like there's no distinguishable characteristics between the wolverine in fox's x-men movies and the one that shows up with deadpool
Yes
Wild. I'm not caught up with the lore but was this bound to happen, if you're familiar with the comics

basically every hero death is kinda bound to be reversed. But I think they'll probably just reboot after secret wars and we'll have a new avenger's team that's a little less prevalent in the movies
my tinfoil hat theory is that they're gonna do phase 1 type of deal accept for the x-men and have that be the main team for a while

X Men team would be nice. I do hope Marvel does right by them. In the minority here, but I didn't care for The Fantastic Four dynamic in that last film and would hope the X Men actually have chemistry

I want them to have a little more chemistry forsure.
Ive always said I’d like to see Wolverine spiderman and the thing in the same movie so I’m hoping they’ll figure it out in a way that makes sense
Yeah I rewatched The Avengers again, and I’m 1000% sure that it’s a mix of The Wizard of Oz x Fellowship of the Ring x a bit of Transformers
And what so happen to be the two movie references of the film?

Hmmm
Four main characters who we see need to overcome a personal lack to earn goodness - that we see was there deep down the whole time, and just needed a push to be brought out in the end:
The central setting is a fantastically grand yet deceptively perfect location, whose true appearance is intentionally concealed from the eyes of the public. It is a well-oiled machine and mini-society with uniformed workers, led by a mysterious cunning man who is both dishonest and virtuous, hiding the nature of his true level of power from the main band of characters
One of the good guys is a mystically powerful beautiful being with flowing blonde hair, colorful drapes, and a signature handheld magical weapon. Their maniacal evil counterpart is of the same kind, with a long staff, an angular grinning visage, signature green color and long black hair with drapes. This main antagonist leads a descending aerial army of inhuman henchmen
The group leader hails from distinctly WW2 era America which contrasts to their advanced new world
I hope David Harbour is good by the time they do reshoots/promotion
They had him on 5150????
