I don’t like Navi hair. Visually it looks like the textures varies from 1a to about 3b. But all the adults somehow have dreads or rocking braids

I honestly though they were gonna take him back to the forest to bury him.

the older I get, the more tv shows n films that have a good family drama going on, make me get choked up every single time.

I’m assuming the technology wasn’t ready yet. At the beginning of the first one, I got the sense that the Avatar project was still a relatively new initiative. There was only Grace and I guess Jake’s brother doing the work. Since they show Grace was the one who helped a few of the forest Navi kids learn English with her school.

It takes like 4-5 years to reach Pandora from Earth. So from the forest Navi sending the sky people away, that’s 4-5 years to get back to Earth. Then coming back another 4-5 years. So they’ve had maybe a minimum of 10 years to further develop the tech for field use. Thats my head canon to rationalize it at least.

Jake’s brother and Quarditch deaths were 6 years apart. They were able to successfully utilize the tech before Quarditch death

But I mentioned earlier Jake’s brother died in a random mugging vs Quarditch who went out on a mission knowing he may not return

Didn’t even factor this in. So it’s at least 16 years of technological advancement by the time Quadritch’s memories are actually used then if my timeline is correct. Makes it more than plausible that the technology just wasn’t ready for field use.

We can fill in the blanks and assume they grew and implanted Quadritch’s memories several times before it was actually successful.

Wasn’t the reasoning for waiting the 10 years after his death was because they were creating him an Avatar?

This is one aspect or theme of the franchise I’m not liking. The idea of an outsider being able assimilate, lead, and more or less out perform the natives in whatever their endeavors are kinda irked me.

Ki’ri is for an intents and purposes is “abnormal”. She comes from a human/man made Navi, but is seemingly more connected to Eywa than any Navi we’ve seen so far. An outsider essentially has a deeper spiritual connection and understanding to Eywa than the planets own indigenous people. I don’t like the notion that carries.

Couple things:

Didn’t like the whale backstory at all I felt like it was a huge waste of time.

I think the younger brother should’ve died instead of the older. Would’ve caused greater effect with supporting roles growing into main roles as the story progresses in the future.

I liked how Neytiri snapped at spider and almost killed his ass, even in the beginning it was shown she didn’t really trust nor like him. I disliked him saving his father then swimming away to the Sully fam. Disgusting. Should’ve had him go back with his dad so that he could’ve turned villain. OR, Neytiri shoulda killed him, causing a rift between her & Jake, good setup for a next movie.
