Nah. The hype is gonna be a lot higher now. I feel like the hype for Avatar 2 has grown in the second/third weeks of it's release to be honest, feel like a lot of people didn't have high expectations after so long and have now been brought back into the world of Avatar

As long as Cameron keeps putting that secret Cameron sauce all over his movies (ie good guys whose inability to get what they yearn for being presented as an injustice with the backdrop of stunning locale-based catastrophic spectacle) and he ups the action, more and more people will be invested in this series
