Eren does have a choice, they mentioned he's done enough damage to ensure Paradis's safety for the foreseeable future. He could have easily just targetted military targets and get his point across, no reason Fez boy had to die. Nothing Gabi has done so far is as bad as what Eren has done since the timeskip, Eren was laughing his head off when Sasha died, and you going to bring up sympathy.

eren said the foreseeable future isn’t enough. He’s going to save paradis. He can see into the future iirc which means he must have a motive for what he’s doing rn, i guess it all boils down to the reason why he’s doing what he’s doing. But i don’t think he’s evil. There’s no guarantee for paradis safety unless he goes all the way and eradicates the rest of the world.

Eren can't really see past about 3 years either, the future he's talking about simply isn't a future he'll be there to see. He hasn't really tried diplomacy as well, he could easily do whatever the allies did after WWII
