I hope people do get that from what eren says to ramzi that night, he states that while saving the Island eldians was on his mind as a reason, he says that there's actually more than that.

He cries to ramzi because he confesses finally that the real actual reason he will kill humanity in its entirety is because he was disappointed humanity existed outside the walls at all. In Armin's book, there was no mention of them, only huge, different, inexplored landscapes all for him once he'd get out of those walls, but the reality is that the freedom he'd always dreamt about, the freedom of having all the outside lands to himself, was a lie. There were more walls outside of paradis, because people existing meant a possibility of them taking his freedom away, and considering eren's childish view of freedom this doesnt only mean Marley's treatment of eldians. Thus to him humanity shouldve been eliminated, all land should be leveled, and the desolated remains should all be for himself. This is the reason he breaks up crying, because he knows that its a childish, selfish and downright evil and that the decision will involve the death of millions of innocents, eldians outside Paradis included dont forget! (Which are actually more than those in the island).

Thats also why he keeps repeating that hes the same as reiner. Both of them started this out for seemingly understandable reasons - Reiner, saving the world and eren saving Paradis from the oppressori - and yet when push comes to shove, the real reasons come out and we see these people as what they truly are inside. Reiner tells eren in liberio, in order to be given judgement by one of those he hurt, that he destroyed the walls not because of a righteous reason, but because he wanted to be seen as a hero. He wanted to avenge his mother and become a marleyan hero like helos to be forever remembered, as that would give his family the status he and his mom always dreamt of. Eren is the same. Wanting to be judged by someone he'll kill, he confesses all and It breaks him like it does reiner, both becoming genocidal monsters for childish and selfish reasons. Its no coincidence that we see child eren celebrating this "freedom" above the
clouds.

There's also his dialogue with zeke in the previous episode (ep 87, ch 130 in manga) that also seems to give us another reason for his actions and will to fight: he wants his closest friends to live long lives and be free. We havent seen truly if this is just a justification like saving the island was yet, or if he does want that but his desire for his version of freedom trumps even the love for his friends.
