EREN THE GOAT
I can’t look at him the same way, knowing how he went out. But he’s just a big “half-measure” of a character. He wasn’t about that PRESSURE since he didn’t really end up killing everyone outside the walls, resulting in Paradis getting demolished within a hundred years

That part is a bit complicated to understand, and i still havent fully took in the implications of 139, so its easy to end up with your opinion, but i disagree.
Eren said he would've destroyed the whole world, from humans to animals to forests, regardless if he knew he was going to be stopped or not. He says it in 139, and when armin asks him why he tells him he doesnt know, he's always been this way and we get a shot of grisha holdin him and telling eren he's free. So at the end of the day, eren's actions are a cause of his nature, and his nature has been tied to freedom since his birth, through grisha's words and armin's book. This never changes throughout the story, not even in 139\. What also doesnt change with 139 is eren's love for his friends, who are the reason he's stopped. He wanted them to live long lives, and by making them stop the rumbling at 80% of the world gone, they would've gotten immunity for a long time, and he succeeded in that. But he didnt know if his friends would've survived the rumbling, and regardless his love for his friends doesnt change the fact he felt he wanted to do the rumbling regardless, in this case it just gave him a good solution for his friend's sake. A lot of people miss the part where eren cares about his friends and not only about freedom, something that's been established since chapter 1\. He made that childlike, innocent dream of freedom come true with 131, and he saved his friends from imminent death. Both of these were important to him, and he succeeded in both. Yeah he didnt kill everyone on earth, but not because he pussied out at the last second.
Just finished s4 p2, first or second time posting in here.
I’m a proud Yeagerist. F***s with Eren heavy. also team Levi. I think my favorite moment of the show is “now or never Mikasa”. That had me jumping out my seat and screaming like a child. The progression from Epi 1 to where we are now is astounding. A truly incredible achievement in fiction writing and media
