At least he sort of explained what happened to Ymir. Paradis being destroyed isn't surprising, war is inevitable as long as humans are alive.The most interesting part to me is the boy at the end, is that teasing a sequel or is it just showing that the cycle continues? Hmm.

Either way I think people are massively overblowing how "bad" this ending is. Is it the best ending ever? No but some of y'all are really doing too much.

Or you wanted them to somehow stop him before it got to that point.. but then y'all would have been saying there were no real consequences to his actions.

"Eren did all of that killing for nothing." They clearly explained it was his father's desire for revenge influencing him to go on the rampage in the first place. And in the end his people got to live for what looks like a couple hundred years at least, instead of being wiped out right then and there. Willy was about to set the entire planet on them.

i guess killing everything would be the "smart" (?) thing to do for their immediate survival, but they'd still have to worry about resources and whatnot after wiping out humanity and turning everything to dust (like eren mentioned in one of the pages in 139). tbh actually glad that was touched on because it makes *a lot* of sense. not just "wipe everyone else out then live happily ever after".

Eren's plan was the most realistic and human. In the end it was probably the best option.

Maybe he didn't have to kill so many people. But like they showed in the final chapter Grisha's revenge for his sister was influencing Eren. And if he had only wiped out Marley, the rest of the world would have come down on them.
