the CGI hasn't been bad until the war hammer titan, I guarantee WIT could do a million times better and if you havent read the manga go read it to see what the war hammer was supposed to look like
I watched everything last year and MAPPA art > Wit art
I swear some people on twitter watch the episodes just to nitpick tiny details, like man you're witnessing one of the best stories in fiction and you're focusing on frame by frame animation gtfoh with that bs
y'all know you can still like a series and give it valid criticism
idk why yall so defensive about the cgi it didn't look good when wit did it with the colossal titan and it isn't that good looking with the scouts and other titans now. Mappa still a good studio when they're not overworking their employees.

Im talking about people who nitpick stupid s*** every single episode to the point its toxic not people who give valid criticsm, i myself criticized mappa for beast titan cgi, udo rotoscope and the attack titan in a couple shots
Mappa bad cause cgi wit best csuse wit good
!https://youtu.be/BSCBRvzC8YwIn this scene (one of the most iconic scenes in the series) reiner goes from having his full right arm when pushin mikasa to having his right arm chopped off in the next frame.
If we nitpick every little detail we can see that every anime has something off since there're human beings working overtime on tight schedule!
Well this more of an animation trick. The arm being cut off was a censor and animation time saver since it was out of frame.
But WIT literally is objectively better, but I don't think Mappa is doing anything bad for industry standards.
Mappa is doing what it can at home which is why I'm not crying because I don't have to wait till 2021 or even 2022 for a WIT season 4.

I agree though the art style definitely fits the feel of the show more.
WIT style still classic though
I haven’t even noticed ANY cgi at all lmaooo
some ppl really wake up & say “I wanna be miserable”
Im saying the same thing lmfao
Bruh the colossal titan in s2 (when the berthold reveal happens) looked like ASS, and mfs wanna complain now

I think it was more like an oversight by the animators, reiner's arm was pierced by mikasa in one shot, in the next when she goes for bertholdt reiner with his arm that should've been chopped off going by what happened with mikasa or at least should've been bleeding was instead perfectly intact and then the next shot his arm is again chopped off. This is one of many examples of why wit's adaptation wasnt perfect at all, but wit went through development hell with attack on titan thanks to the tight schedule imposed by the production committee and the same is happening with mappa, maybe even worse since covid is still a thing. All i wanna say is that mappa did not ruin aot and people tend to overlook many f*** ups wit did. Still, i love wit and mappa's approach to aot, forever thankful to the directors and animators who made this animated series possible
Everyone always complains about colossal’s cg but never really looked year bad to me. This episode had some baki s1 vibes
I figured erens lack of emotion was due to the hardships he’s been put thru, and the realization that he’s on a time limit if he wants to avenge his mother. Is there more to it?

I don't think he's really "emotionless", but he sure does have a limit to how much of his reserved empathy is given out. That mixture of hardships, mistrust and experience at a young age slowly gave him a strict tunnel vision for goals. He's practically abandoned any of the prior moral conventions and acts on a very unfiltered logic (whether that's good/bad depends on perspective).
It's a bit like Mikasa's mentality when trying to retrieve Eren from the escaping Armored/Colossal titan.
"You're mistaken to seek any compassion from me. Because right now, I'm all out of time and room in my heart to care."
Apply that momentary emotion of hers 24/7 and you have an older Eren.

You're on the right track. He did spent years on that island alone and seeing what his fellow mental patients are going through as well.
just saw this
feel bad for mappa being rushed and all. really wish they had more time to prepare.
gonna be a great ep
poor mikasa
She still somehow tryna break armin’s hand restraining him for going at eren after saying that s\*\*\*

that just makes me wonder how mikasa's story is going to end. really haven't gotten too much of her at all recently

He’s about to f*** s*** up
