DC ain't even put a movie out and he's talking about elevating Safran

I don't think Gunn wants to deal with the other stuff that doesn't have to do with building the story. I think the way they have it set up now is fine, taking Peter away might makes things take a turn for the worse.

With DCs track record I cringe everytime I hear about them doing more shakeups at the studio.

Kinda hard to support this studio or even want creatives working there at this point. If this is true it feels like those two just got put in a horrible position so that they can get blamed when they can't turn it around in a short time frame.

WB already took a massive hit to their rep with COVID moves and Zaslav film cancelations, but De Luca and Abdy were the ones who kinda held the fort. For instance, they're the ones who locked Reeves in long term at WB and Gunn for DC Studios. They've been there for 2.5 years and some of that included and actors and writers strike...

Like its almost comical now that they thought there was a chance Nolan wanted to come back to this. They're lucky to still have Denis and Dune too cus Legendary cut much of its WB ties years ago

There's no way to win here. Like i get they probably overspent and its turning out to be some bad bets but the only way WB can get talent is if they spend. Few creatives genuinely want to work at WB in 2025 unless its an offer they can't refuse. Why would they?

Mickey17 is a loss, Sinners will be a loss, the PTA film will likely be a loss, and it seems like Superman is being unfairly built to be a make or break not just for DC Studios, but for WB blockbusters moving forward.

Creatives are intentionally screwing them too. Coogler has first-dollar gross and ownership for 25 years and PTA got them to spend $140M on a 3 hour IMAX film that needs a $300M gross to turn profit (PTA has never made over $75M)

I’m on the side of the creatives here tho. If WB wants to be anti creative by shelving movies and generally being s***ly run that’s not the fault of the creator

Get in loot what’s left as unfortunate as it is given Wb’s history and get out

100% agree. They've made working with them a risk, so you might as well take everything you can

The only positive I get from this is that it would be the only thing that would incentivize Sony to give up the Spider-Man rights because they'd get all of DC
