Once theaters die Netflix is gonna charge you an extra $5 to watch a new movie in the first two weeks of release before it hits the platform for free for subscribers. Just watch.
I think people either didn't read their statement or just missed the "giving users more choice to optimize their plans" corporate speak bullshit part lol
It's going to get very nasty very quickly

Another subscription tier for exclusive movies not available on regular subscription
Like premium cable
At this rate next year they’ll be able to afford to open a Netflix World Amusement Park
Netflix just opened a giant physical space in my city. You know what’s not in it? A movie theater
My guess is that the Warner Archive is shuttered for good and most of the HBO Max catalogue, save for the super popular stuff like GOT and Harry Potter, will be inaccessible as well
Hollywood f***ing up so bad that by 2035 the top 10 movies at the box office every year will all be Chinese

Why would they shutter it, it’ll be on the Netflix top tier for sure.

@proper

I just want to reiterate that if if Quentin Tarantino didn't attack Paul Dano like that, none of this would have happened.

Because there's no incentive to keeping it available

Pledge allegiance now

they need to be on your phone screen not a theater screen
This isn't exclusive to Netflix though. Damn near all movie productions are making writing/filming decisions because of phone usage IN the theater. Sinners was a victim of this as well.
Tubi
knew someone would mention tubi, im fine with watching tv shows on there but the max streaming quality is 720p and most movies dont even get that plus the ads

I meant they'd rather you use their app at home then go to a theater
WB created sinners to be seen on a theater screen
