Only white people "outgrow" rap music b you disgust me b
nah fr i thought the exact same s*** when i saw the thread
”that’s the whitest thread title i’ve ever read”
never
thats why grown man music exists
4:44 out now
kill jay z resonated so much first time i listened to it. that and the title track
I hate his reviews because there only like four sentences Max, but he has incredible taste, especially for someone known as “dean Of rock music”
Bro back in the 80's there was a phenomenon that musicians were making music solely with the intent of appealing to his taste. He was the Fantano of his time.

You gotta learn to appreciate other genres & dig for new s*** some you don't experience rap fatigue
Probably the last 2 years.
Rap is really has the lowest barrier of entry of any genre and the amount of average or below average artists emerging and getting hot really shows it.
Song in OP hard

There wasn no rap fatigue to be had in the 90s or 2010-2016
Its really just late 00s and late 10s that have been especially mediocre
Tbh this was a powerful year for underground rap. I feel like a lot of big things are happening rn.
Griselda put out an impressive album as a collective. Benny the Butcher had a dope album. Westside Gunn had a good album and tape. They got cosigns from Jay-Z and Drake and it feels like they're on the verge of blowing up.
Mach-Hommy and Tha God Fahim, while not as invested in expanding their fan base, stay going hard with their dump of releases..
Earl's friends - Mavi, Maxo, MIKE and so on are doing their thing.
Roc Marciano put out a dope ass album. Danny Brown with Q-Tip was special.
Your Old Droog put out 3 projects and each one was better than the former. Blu did the same thing.
The veterans are doing well. We had a bunch of solid projects from their side.. Little Brother, Gang Starr, Common, Nas.
Bandana goes without sayin.
I don’t think I’ll ever outgrow rap music but I’m not feeling a lot of this melodic street rap. S*** is so formulaic/derivative outside of like 3/4 artists.
I hate his reviews because there only like four sentences Max, but he has incredible taste, especially for someone known as “dean Of rock music”
I always liked Christgau because of that. His ratings are weird as well. As opposed to a pitchfork article or Fantano video (i.e. some bloated mess of buzzwords), I never feel like I can guess what he's going to give an album which is cool because I feel like I'm looking at someone else with their own taste instead of someone hardcore pandering to 15 year old Kakks for Internet money.
