10/10 doesn't have to be perfect. Read any 10/10 or 5 star review of any album, movie, or game and there's likely to be some criticism in there

Classics don't have to be 10/10
Otis Redding

my dad tried to force-feed me his music.
dope voice, but never could fully fall in love with his music.
too gut-bucket for my taste
They where probably the least interesting out of all the grunge bands. Most people say they always had decent numbers compared to their peers
doesnt matter when they made some of the best songs
they were music first yk

Why did you dedicate your entire username to black midi
Are they that special
Vs. is strong af too. Don't forget their "first" successful experimental album with Binaural
Real as s***. I remember my first time playing it and I’m like “wait these niggas took risks in they career too”

people think they played it safe but that's because they didn't hear their experimental stuff. it's just funny that stone temple pilots (who got a ton of s*** back then) is more respected now and pearl jam (who ran the 90's) is pissed on now

You're like that English teacher that refuses to give 100 on any papers because they say 100 is perfect and no paper is perfect.
Everyone hates that teacher
damn thats a big ass write up.
idk i guess i dont agree, especially with the futura free thing, thats a quintessential frank song for me,absolutely perfect.
to each his own tho thats the beauty of music, love your writeup even tho i dont agree w it.
also u gotta chill with the abul disrespect
abel disrespect?
ayy man i love abel’s aesthetics but he hasn’t made music that shook me to my core since i was like 16/17 if imma be real with you. great artist that will always be in my rotation but i can’t put his music on a pedestal like i used to. all these years and i don’t think it’s rose tinted glasses.
trilogy some of the best work of the last decade and kiss land is just such a great debut. he basically made the musical version of his own dystopian movie. perfect mix between blockbuster and indie. fr feels like a ridley scott film.
everything after that feels like a hollywood blockbuster.
cool scenes, but too many cliches and gimmicks. hard to take him serious as a songwriter after bbtm and starboy. he’ll have his great songs here and there that make me feel like “he still got it” but he can’t commit to an album that prioritizes the things i love most about him. and for me i enjoy albums.
fine with me if you enjoy his recent work, but nothing about it makes me personally want to engage with it. i don’t get lost in after hours the same way i got lost in kiss land. i don’t really get the sequencing and for every major amazing moment the album has, there’s a bunch that just make me roll my eyes.
the music videos are soooo cool tho
it honestly feels like he wants to do movies more than music lmao. when ur making stuff like nothing compares and not putting it on ur album, but instead stuff like scared to live, heartless, in your eyes are on it idk. hard to take it more serious than a good pop project. which is fine!
i don’t have an issue with pop, i just like pop that does more than just, you know. be a catchy love song lol
also blinding lights chromatic remix best song of his in years. makes me want an entire record of just both of them.
inb4 thomas ratios me with a lol or something
