I'm from NJ but I also believe that not every good album is a classic.

I don't even consider American Gangster by Jay-Z to be a undisputed classic although I consider it an arguable classic album with some of his best rapping.

Imho, if I consider the Jada albums to be on the same level as Illmatic, AEOM, MBDTF, GKMC, GRODT, OB4CL, Doggystyle, etc. I'd really have to water down the definition of classic and I'm not down with that.

I still regard Jadakiss as a rapper's rapper and a legend of course but the man doesn't have an undisputed classic album and that's fine because it's not easy to create one at all. Lil Boosie is a god to many rap fans in the Deep South but I wouldn't say Boosie has a classic album either.

I agree with that & pretty much everything you said, & I agree the Lox projects are more impactful n important too.

Just that that dude seemed like he was saying Jada has never been popping but still gets respect, which is simply false cuz he had two solo projects go mainstream with hits, & has a lot of collab & street records with DMX n Diddy (and of course Lox as a whole were huge for a bit with also a successful mainstream career) plus he's usually given his flowers n highly reveered by actual Rappers & "real real hiphop" fans.

But yeah i agree. Im also more of a fan of styles P, but I still like Jadakiss a lot & those two solo albums i mentioned i like a lot as well.

And i def agree East Coast bigs up everything east coast as a classic like Fabolous n s*** lmao.

I believe Lox does have a classic with Money Power Respect tho.

Kid cudi had the game on lock in the later 2000s. I remember indicud was the shift for him tho. He went from a legend to what we know of him today. Which is a legend but almost cus of the nostalgia cus the only time he does some dope s*** now is when he with kanye. Motm 3 was cool but y'all tripping if you think it was anywhere near as good as the first 2.

Yup. The Lox's debut is definitely classic to me.

But even the Coli is saying that Kiss Tha Game Goodbye ain't a classic on it's anniversary and they remember Jada's prime better than us lol.

Mos Def another one. Not that he’s a failure at all, he’s one of my GOATS. Music, acting, fashion, man was so versatile and I feel he should’ve had a bigger voice in the game. That’s how talented he is.
