Iykyk
I know Fromsoft games are always certified ass on M&K but might have to get one of those MMO mouses and play it that way lol
already on wait-list???
Also i was right about it being "just robot scifi souls" oversll but in really a good amount of AC spirit is still there as well.
Im glad it seems we have Souls lock on and telegraph more strategic combat encounters & it seems they stopped the spreadsheet raw data information s***. Also really happy the AC6 director (who was also the lead game designer on Sekiro) also said the differences in mechs will be more than just stats; it will be actual builds this time around and an RPG in that regard, which is wasnt beforehand. Also more melee options.
But also glad the craziness, movement, range fighting, large scale battles & themes of AC is still present.
Perfect marriage of their two most famous series'.
Hms to their Tenchu (which Sekiro was originally a reboot for) & Shadow Tower series'.
Game looks absolutely gorgeous too im surprised its releasing on ps4 gen.
Their best looking game without a doubt and probably their only game so far that looks up to par to the era its in with in terms of pure graphic fidelity.
Elden Ring money LETS GO

Wdym, AC always had builds and this appears to as well which was expected

They all played mostly the same besides tank builds, only major difference is movement speed and the targeting lock on box size. Especially the orginal era before 4.
AC6 will now have defined & varied builds that are also very viable & different from each other.
The director mentioned this.
But from my own point i agree, it was mostly just number boosting besides some really niche things or if you power boost into "meme" builds like an all rocket cage that isnt really economic. Most of the time every "build" plays the exact same - more or less. AC, especially in original era, was more like upgrading than builds.
It will now be more like RPG builds.
One of the reasons why I like their Chromehounds (one of my fav 360 games) game over their AC. The builds felt more diverse, purposeful & viable with definite characteristics.
Also it seems like the Director of AC6 who was also the one to iirc spearhead the Tenchu reboot that became Sekiro (he is the lead designer for) is interested in bringing back old FS ips into the modern Souls era.
Really hope he convinces them to do Otogi & especially a Kings Field reboot/sequel/spiritual-successor.
Otogi they made two games for the og xbox that were dope & more action fast paced like a Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry.
King Fields is the precursor to Souls (along with Shadow Tower which is also a spiritual successor to KF as well on top of it lol) that is basically a first person Souls game just in a hardcore dungeon crawler setting. From the PS1 & PS2 era. A lot of the tropes such as souls, difficulty, item/enviorment/npc story telling etc. & even characters like Patches & the weapon Moonlight Sword come from Kings Fields & Shadow Tower.
Would love a first person "Dark Souls".
Otogi is more of a personal thing but a King Fields/Shadow Tower in the modern day would go crazy. Especially if its open world it could be FS' "Skyrim", and make its dungeons and major areas like the original hardcore dungeon crawling design.
Modern day Kings Fields would also be easy money imo, s*** would be so cool see.
Ive played one of the KFs on an emulator and I played one of the Shadow Tower games through a rental way way back when that was still a thing as a kid. S*** is dope although the controls are hard to get a hand on. Rrally uninituitive & takes a lot to get used too.
Just like I played a few of the AC n Tenchu games through rentals as well.

never played this s*** before just like Elden ring but I'm buying idc from soft got me now
Might be a better experience.
Can have some really well crafted variety of maps compared to balancing a huge open world
This is good very good. Open world games need to die

Elden Ring and ToTk games of life out now. But yeah too many poorly designed open world games.
Are Sekiro and Dark Souls considered open world

it's the GTA3 era all over again where every f***ing game was suddenly open world for no reason. i think even Ratchet & Clank did it?
Sekiro and DS are semi open world i guess cause they're still segmented and platformy.

No, R&C wasn’t open world. They had wide, explorable levels, but it wasn’t open world.
