redtruthI feel the same way, the stagger system really encourages you to bring weapons that do good impact damage to stagger and also weapons that let you take advantage of the stagger. Zimmermans do both, rifles are good to get you to the boss but after that if you die you may as well just switch to Zimmermans.
At least S ranking mission’s doesn’t let you swap out to a different loadout which is where the real challenge will be
Yeah and I really wanted to make a laser/plasma focused build but they don’t stagger very well so even though their damage number is higher, you do so much more damage during stagger that they don’t make sense.
Plus the energy beams move so f***ing slow I struggle to hit anything

I’d say he was comparable in difficulty to margit, fantastic first boss. That second phase was like a dance
