overall I like how it starts but feel like it loses steam towards the end. last few tracks just feel too generic for my taste

lot of her fans want her to stay in the R&B lane and i get it cause she's one of the best voices we have in pop. but most of the songs themselves are just middling IMO.
if that's just her natural progression and maturation as a person and artist, or just how she was feeling on this album, then so be it. she's given us the huge pop moments already (Break Free, Into You, Love Me Harder)
me when the nice dreamy pads and keys in the beginning of eternal sunshine are interrupted by the f***ing trap drums

they got her in a chokehold the last three albums.
Enjoyed this but not as much as Positions or TUN on first listens. Still, a solid work
Definitely a few I’ll keep playing I think
i knew something was up when i saw nothing but praise in the last couple of pages
some y’all niggas wouldn’t know good music if it bent u over
this is the most dry and outright lifeless production i’ve heard on an Ariana album in years
this is insane
mfw i think im going to get an imagine type track with the woozy psychedelic guitar on imperfect for you and then the trap hats come in again

this, the same white dudes she been hiring for like 8 years now to work on her s*** are the #1 thing holding her music back but looks like she dgaf she alright w her music being mid. even sweetener was mostly mid songs as much as folks gas it and it was the same culprits while the songs p gave her are still literally mostly the best of her entire career outside of standout tracks here and there (i too fw imagine, probably my favorite song of hers of all time that or REM or a yours truly era joint)
well ain't s*** else come out today really so, second listen lol
intro and bye do get the album off the a good start

Its great pop music, idgaf about anything else
I dont need to listen to ariana trying to make a MBDTF or some s***
Though i'm not really a superfan or anything I just think her pop music is fye
kk, so there’s some bops on here (bye, the boy is mine, yes and, i wish i hated you) but generally this album doesn’t really do it for me personally
it seems very hackneyed and scattershot with next to no coherent album identity compared to her last three albums, there’s some interesting ideas scattered throughout this album but it doesn’t seem like they were fully realized or fleshed out, idk if she was shooting for an easy listening type thing for her comeback or what
it just sounds so watered down
ill sit with it for awhile longer but im pretty pissed
3 years for half an hour of music that is super distilled, it sounds like an interlude to an actual Ari project

Ariana is talented enough to make an MBDTF though, that’s sorta the thing, she’s easily one of the greatest vocalists of this generation

like wtf are we doing here
they have her singing over generic washed out pads and f***ing trap hats
