Whatever happened to the original plot when this first was announced? With it being about a couple on a road trip who stops to get gas in Eddington and then s*** gets weird? People were speculating Butler and Stone playing the couple.

I wonder if that’s still a side plot?

PLOT — “Eddington” is about a couple (Lindsay and Marc) driving through New Mexico, on their way to Los Angeles, who run out of gas just outside of small town Eddington, New Mexico. Lindsay and Marc decide to enter the town for help. They are, at first, greeted very warmly, but, as nightfall comes, the picturesque setting soon turns into a nightmare.

Beau is Afraid was a heater but it's impossible to defend or recommend

That s*** one of the worst movies ive seen in my lifetime, only time ive walked out of a theater

The first act of Beau paranoid in/around his apartment was so fun. Felt as if it was one of Aster’s personal fav pet project short film concepts from earlier in his career finally found a way to be made.

And then I do like all the stuff in the weird military house after it

But everything from then loses me tbh

I walked out once that theater play in the woods started, movie imo is not that fun and couldve been better if adapted to theater

beau is afraid is one of the best movies of the 2020s, only behind Killers of the Flower Moon and Nope

wont even be watching this, aster has jus been hacking it up. which is crazy because i was in the theater for both hereditary and midsommar and those are two experiences i will never forget.

brother... if beau is afraid is the only film that you're going off as to call Aster a hack then isn't that a bit unfair??

like even if EDDINGTON is ass too, is it not too soon to just call him a hack, considering hereditary and midsommar are both well-liked.
