Having a kid didn't really change anything on my end, we've always had the same issues. What made a huge difference was that I started my career. We grew apart fast. All the codependency and problematic patterns that I just kinda dealt with because I felt like I had to became intolerable when I started making my own money and living more independently. But I've been so avoidant with her for years now, it's really sad, and I hope she finds happiness with someone else.

The best advice I can give is to not get married young like I did and to really know yourself inside and out before settling down. I changed so much from 29-31, it was hard to navigate. Nobody's fault, that just happens.

Just celebrated 3 years with my gf. I want to get married to her and start a family potentially. Real love is out there but you straight up need to leave the ego at the door and think with your head first, heart second, d*** last (but listen to all three). You also need to make sure you got your mental house in order and a decent job. A basic fitness regimen will help too.
