Totally didn’t expect ARC to take off to this extent.. I thought for sure the rat behaviour/extract camping would dissuade the casuals from picking it up. But it looks like retention numbers are strong too, at least on Steam.

Embark made the right call segregating solo players into friendly PvE lobbies, especially without the need to make a dedicated mode.

Started playing this for the first time tonight. My third match, I ran into another player. We emoted a bit and decided to work together. I killed one of those rolling fireballs while he was reloading and I think that solidified our bond. I was full on loot so I just marked an extraction spot on my map hoping he could see it and took a zipline, slid down a mountain and he followed me But then we got swarmed by drones and I had to abandon my boy, I got the f*** out of there Headed back because I had to get to the extraction, didn't see the other guy and I got surrounded by drones Maybe I could have survived if I just stuck with him

A few games later, it felt like I spawned in a match that already started. Some opened containers, destroyed Arcs. It was a spot with red water. I got loot quickly and headed over to an extraction spot but I saw a dead body in the corner of a tunnel. Got a Bobcat IV, Anvil I, a medium shield But then I saw an almost destroyed spider walking hella close, like it was on fire Waited for it to pass, ran towards the extraction but then some drones saw me as I was taking a zipline up Got off the zipline, there's one of those big drone things and it downed me instantly right next to the elevator Luckily someone called it already, I rolled in while the Arc was fighting them and I started the elevator They got in just in time and I got all that loot

The unpredictability in the emergent gameplay has made this game so special

Started using Stitcher IV and basically shooting onsite if I see anyone (been burned too many times being nice)

Whereas crossplay with PC players has been friendly (maybe a little too much like that one time a fellow raider was literally begging me on prox chat to not shoot him while all I was doing was standing still, minding my own business )

Was playing duos with my homie last night on Buried City on a night raid. S*** got hectic in the metro with a few minutes left and I accidentally extracted without him. He ended up hiding until 0:00 then when two other teams were scrapping he jumped in the train and dipped and left them I was so weak this game is just the gift that keeps on giving

Honestly wild considering the entry level for Fortnite was so low comparatively

Cold Snap map condition returning on February 10?

Was looting a building and two guys randomly walked in shooting each other. Waited until one downed the other, downed the survivor. Both of them started pleading with me, saying the other shot first Didn't have a defib, so I just looted both of them when they died. Ran into another guy, asked him where to extract. He sensed I was new to the game, dropped me a blueprint and showed me the way to an extract

Discovered night raids and storms for the first time last night, did a few of those. My last match was a night raid, I saw this big Arc (looked kinda like the spider but more square). The extract was about to close in 90 seconds so I had to try and bolt past it, downed me instantly and I tried crawling to the extract but didn't know on which side the button was Turned the game off after that

I've bought more storage twice but because most of my matches are looting until I'm full and extract, I'm having trouble with my space. Specifically for crafting materials. I've been recycling/selling what I can but I looted a player with hella s*** and I can't craft anything with them yet

This games so f***ing good bro. Haven’t been hooked like this to an online game ever

Looted up a harvester and killed a queen only to come up with scraps. Get to the elevator someone drops me their Jupiter BP 🥹🥹🥹

The best way to get Queen Reactors (or Matriarch Reactors) is to shoot at their breakable parts (many of which are on their legs) and then run and loot those parts right as they fall to the ground. Waiting until the Queen is dead is waiting until it’s too late.

Just be careful not to get stomped by the Queen or Matriarch while you loot.
