First death on a 20 minute scavenge run, guy was camping the extract

All low settings at 800p and it still looks this good. Embark are seriously wizards, no other UE5 game I’ve tried runs this stable on the Steam Deck. I’m getting 30-40 fps, feels like more than enough with how slow paced the game is.

Console players really must be skewing older because pretty much everybody I speak to in this game is chill.

we played liek 4 matches last night only one of them we had something actually interesting happen

i just can’t get down with extraction shooters i’ve played a decent amount on tarkov too and i even dont like that

I’m having fun playing almost completely solo, that’s probably adding to the tension. Free to try and only 15gb on consoles, worth trying if you have any interest

I think they have something special on their hands; how everyone’s experiences with the game play out differently, and many fascinating moments can arise from that.

The game isn’t without its faults though.
I haven’t faced campers/rats yet though I keep seeing streamers losing to those kinds of players and admittedly, that negative aspect of the game does bring it down quite a bit.

Maybe Embark could add more tools to counter that kind of play (in The Finals you can destroy/delete walls & floors to counter campers and also there’s a detection gadget called a Sonar Grenade that reveals enemy position).

yeah i really don’t think it’s bad at all though i can see if i played more maybe i’ll enjoy it but so far not sold

also ive said it plenty of times on here but man i wish they kept it as a looter shooter and not changed to extraction

Yeah it needs a pure PVE mode badly, would bring in a ton of people who aren’t into extraction games

I’m hyped for Marathon just as much as you are, but one would think that someone interested in Marathon would also be interested in this
