I haven’t shown online fr in over a decade I just like being solo

Just had a raid where a guy shot at me at the extraction point and little did he know, there was a Rocketeer hovering right above us..
So said ARC detected the guy shooting and went ham after HIS ASS (is this what we call karma ).
We all had to run & disperse from the extraction elevator because this dude decided to be a b****

I managed to scrape by unharmed by the Rocketeer while the guy eventually was downed by it.
We both found ourselves at the elevator again and instead of knocking this a****** out, I let him live.

Back to back deaths at extraction from raiders is really annoying

So satisfying when a b****** player takes you out and then you see him get smoked by an ARC Just the other day in solos I befriended a random dude and, shortly after, a slick dude came outta nowhere and whooped our abs. As we were crawling on the ground in agony a Hornet showed up and started attacking our killer. Few seconds later I saw his raider flare go up into the sky

I love it man; it’s like the game’s way of punishing players for being a d***

It happened again in my following session; some dude downed me with an Anvil at the extraction point, which got the attention of Hornets who then chased after him.
I crawled my way back to Speranza safely while dude was outside the elevator busy fending off ARCs (he was the one who pushed the elevator button btw)

Game clicked for me hard as f*** today

So I tried to fight the new Matriarch yesterday. Let me tell you how it went:

First attempt - The Matriarch @ Dam Battlegrounds

I find a great spot where I can shoot from relatively safely, and other solo players are there as well by my side - but I did not bring enough ammo and eventually ran out and had to leave. It seems others did the same or left for other reasons because I did not see anybody there when I left.

Second attempt - The Matriarch @ Spaceport

I hear the Matriarch's roar near the Launch Tower. When I get closer I see a Rocketeer and a Bastion right beside her so I quickly try to run into safety at the side of the tower - but to my horror I've ran into the arms of a Leaper who was standing right in the corner where I was hoping to find a moment to catch my breath. As I'm stumbling backwards in panic, the Leaper takes me out before I have time to react and I lose all my gear.

Third attempt - The Matriarch @ Spaceport

I've made it safely to the Launch Tower for another attempt and I meet other players at the top of the tower. Suddenly, one player starts shooting folks - a traitor among us. I hear somebody on the other side of the gap at the top of the tower ask for a defibrillator. I happened to have one and was just about to jump over the gap to give my defibrillator to the downed player but my character wouldn't sprint at that moment so I failed the jump and fell all the way down from the top of the Launch Tower and died while yelling for help. A player hears my plea and appears in the last second, but I die in his arms.

Fourth attempt - The Matriarch @ Spaceport

I met some dudes at the Launch Tower and we're beating up the Matriarch. We've broken off some armour on her legs and her head, exposing weakpoints and getting some more damage in. I have ammo to spare this time around and the other raiders have not caused any trouble, but then I hear a voice from Speranza on my intercom say "You have 5 minutes. I repeat, 5 minutes to return home safely". Time was running out, and I had to extract. The Matriarch was still kicking but there was no time to finish the whole meal so I had to leave it behind and return home to my family.

Fifth attempt - The Matriarch @ ???

You think there was a 5th attempt after what I went through? I'm not made out of ammo and I'm traumatised bruh!

I folded and copped, any tips or s*** to prioritize first?

Am I going to be left in the dust if I start playing this in a months time or anything?

I dont think so. The only people that are ahead are those that are no living this. It took me 3 weeks to finally get the weapon bench maxed. And theres a ton of people that play that can only play casually.

Id say as long as you keep playing you'll eventually progress.

Get the layout of the dam first. There's an enormous amount of stuff you'll need that you can get from there specifically.

Use free load outs until you know what you're doing. No need to risk all your good s*** until you understand most things.

Track items for bench upgrades. So that way you aren't recycling s*** you need. I sold so much stuff I didnt know I was gonna need later. Added easily 8 hours onto my time of having to get things upgraded.

There’s lists of items you should keep and items you’re okay selling, google it and it should pop up

Just did two solo night raids and got killed both times by other raiders.

I'm implementing a new rule: If I see or hear or suspect a Raider potentially being nearby, I'm yelling "HELLO RAIDER" or "DON'T SHOOT" a few times and if I don't get a response back from any direction and suddenly see a Raider near me - it's on sight.

If you were that near me but you didn't respond then I know you were trying to stay quiet because you were plotting on me.

I thought that new map would be pvp crazy and it probably is in trios

but on solo it couldn’t be more opposite, people running around full speed buddy buddy with everyone lmao

that shredder scary af can’t lie, mf be following you everywhere once it’s seen you

max level, all benches upgraded

kinda just going through the project now, not convinced it’s worth but it’s something to keep me hooked

Yeah solos vs trios/squads is a whole other vibe. Solos is definitely more friendly.

This is such a fun game to just play a few raids, collect some s***, and hop off type of game

For someone like me who can’t play for hours that’s amazing

Most games are only cinematic during cut scenes

This s*** makes you feel like youre in a movie during gameplay, they really snapped can’t wait to see how it progresses

I also love how I don’t really need to partake in any microtransactions, haven’t bought a goddamn thing and still have fun
