    they’re one and the same

so paying for a music subscription service also gives you dozens of GB to store it on your device?

your gimmick of acting like weird glitches in otherwise simple-to-use software are the norm is getting old

why do you even click into threads about what streaming services are up to at this point? you don’t use any

    assuming that poster wants attention?

for Apple Music, yes, including the local files

    and “dozens” is an understatement

idk the limit but it’s gotta be at least in the hundreds of GBs

I don't pay for Apple Music but I pay for iTunes Match which is basically music cloud storage. I can just put an audio file in the Apple Music client and it just uploads it to the cloud so I can play it on all my devices (To be more accurate: Some of the audio is matched against Apples library and anything it doesn't recognise is uploaded)

With that being said, I have 200GBs of audio I can access from the cloud and I only pay $25 per year

so if you ditch your phone and just wanna use it for music only without wifi or data ever you can download hundreds or GBs of music onto it?

    that's amazing

    damn. nevermind.

thought you had a way to get a few hundred GB off the grid

the ole iPod has 160gb and I'm running low after 20 years.

I also probably have too much music on there too but find it hard deleting anything.

    not really

i’m well aware of how easy piracy is nowadays

but the cloud service on top of local file integration is so worth it

I have hundreds of live performances & local file albums uploaded via Apple Music. I'll never leave them for the local file integration alone.
