honestly not that much better than the quest 3 imo
That's what I'm hearing... How's the FOV?
Worse than the quest and pass through is not “leagues” better like others are saying
this x2
if you own a quest 3, don’t swap. if you’re interested in AR, just cop that. besides, meta has such a huge library

It's over
Dudes who never used VR praising it lol
Feel like the Quest does everything that the Vision does
@OP Now I'm tempted.

i think well-executed augmented reality might be good for more things than we even realize

I love them all. I think @luckystar got the right idea. I would primarily use it for AR/VR workout from home. If you look at it that way, Vision Pro's price is about average among home gym gadgets out there and it does way more.

Ngl, I would buy one and be addicted to using this s*** if it wasn't for my horrible motion sickness
Got the Quest as a gift last year, and it was amazing exploring travel spots immersively for like 10 minutes, but as I was going and when I took it off I had the worst nausea for like 2 hours lmao
I think most of us are here because of how Apple integrates all of their tech seemlessly. I dread creating new accounts and dealing with a new app ecosystem. If I just wanted VR I would get a Google Cardboard, but I want something that works with my iPhone, Watch and Air without me having to configure it all and that's worth the higher price, to me.

Why did you reply then? Go back to communist sxn instead of promoting Facebook spyware here.

I was offering you an alternative if that was your single use case. I wasn't inviting some weird argument about consumer preferences

Hmm. That is my one concern. I get eyestrain when things are not fully in focus. The store offers additional lenses for lens correction, but a review said that things too close to you are out of focus because of the limitations of the passthrough camera. Future iterations definitely need more cameras to give people a wider field of view and ability to see things up close and afar.

Fwiw, I didn’t have any eye strain problems and the visuals were generally pristine when I used the Quest after I made the initial adjustments to the focus of the lenses. It was just the motion sickness for me.

Hmm you are onto something. I do feel disoriented when I play VR games and turn my head a lot. But, for me it's eye strain and a little claustrophobia because of a smaller field of view. Things like these made me realize how much I rely on my peripheral vision in real life.
