I have a 16 GB RAM 2019 model (Intel) and it's still trash. Feels like a chromebook at times

I heard these newer models are way better though ofc so take that with a grain of salt

it depends on how long you plan on keeping it

8 GB is passable currently , but if you plan on keeping it for say 5 years i would def get 16 GB , especially if you use a lot of apps and browser tabs

Nah this is an easy sale. Basically brand new with a 11 months Apple care and a laptop spites cover for $2100 is a steal.

if you intend to use it for stuff like music production, video editing or maybe photoshop/photo editing (now or in the future), 16GB will go further for you. if you're just browsing the web & looking at docs for school or whatever, then 8gb would probably suffice.

I have a client laptop that I stopped using in 2021 with the same specs. Zoom calls with photoshop or Figma in the background made it laggy asf.

Yeah I got 8 when I should have gotten 16 and trying to sell it now. It’s still great for normal uses but multi tasking can be tricky if I have a large audio project open. Trying to lessen the SD memory swap.
