Worth upgrading from the pro 1s? I’m thinking of copping the usb c ones, transparency and noise cancelling are sounding noticeably worse on mine after dropping them too many times

iOS 17.0.2 update says

“This update fixes an issue that may prevent transferring data directly from another iPhone during setup.”

That could be related to your issue.

I don’t have that update available 😞 it says 17.0 is up to date

Why they get rid of the always on display

well i've had it for 2 days & no complaints so far. i upgraded from a XR, so i'm seeing major differences.

what negative things have they been saying?

Overheating, the one video of the dude bending it and the phone snapping, how easily damaged the sides get/finger print magnet it is. The 3 main things I seen so far around I didn’t go looking for anything.

swapped the pro for a plus, longer battery life is more my game.

does this new update fixes the battery issues?

hmm i haven't experienced any overheating just the phone getting warm when its charging. it did get a bit hot when i was setting up the phone. when i'm just using it normally its fine, but i have a case so i don't really feel if it is heating up

for the other two i have a case so i don't see those as a problem for me at the moment

but I did go to the apple store one time to get a new mac charger and they told me it was like $80 or something and I was a broke student at the time so I was like nvm i'll find something online and the dude just ended up giving me the charger for free... so it can happen sometimes lmao

Could be illusion of truth, but I think my 15 PM does get warmer than the 14 PM. Could just be my mind, and I haven't power used it yet.

But the phone is incredible. The bezels and the weight are the bigger noticeable features that surprise me every time because I was so used to the 12-14 form factor

yea I had a super old mac at the time like a 2013 one and that charger broke and you know how essential a laptop is in college so my ass was panicking. but dude looked out fr. charging full price for an outdated mac charger is robbery tho anyway lmao
