Unless you have a very intense workflow you probably won’t tell the difference between pro and max

Extra ram could make a difference though

yeah kept with the m1 pro just couldnt justify spending 25% more for 32gb ram and a gpu upgrade i wont use

got it on 0% finance for a year so if i need to upgrade after paying it ill take it as a lesson learned

the only difference between the pro and max is the gpu, which isn’t important for music production

only reason i’d go max is if you have 3d workloads, machine learning, video editing etc
