    it’s cooling it down hehe

it eats up the resources so the system can’t use them for other things

if it only happens after a lot of use that would be normal it has no fan

if it’s just happening randomly it could be a hardware issue of some kind

yeah it could be software, kernel task is usually heat/hardware related but yeah could just be a bug

I don't get excess kernel task on my new mbp

yeah I've heard about M1 apps leaking that's not kernel task though, kernel task is suppose to consume too many resources by design

I do agree though it is early it definitely isn't as polished as the Intel machines were but I definitely expected this

I think they'll patch it hopefully Tim Apple is listening

they fixed 97% of the issues I was having with Thunderbolt with the recent updates

kernel task is protecting the cpu from brave leaking memory by the looks of that screenshot

    source setapp.com/how-to/kernel-task-high-cpu

but yeah I'm done having the same conversation lol

probably my favorite tech purchase ever next to philips hue lights.

I bought these last week before my trip to Paris and they have been an absolute life changer. I couldn’t hear anything or anyone on the plane, they’re incredibly fashionable and smooth to use. I did an entire flight, roamed the streets of France and they were only at 50%.

what have you come from? what do you like it about it most?

what have you come from? what do you like it about it most?

Switched from an old Android phone to an 11 Pro Max
Totally usable but I wanted something very good and with a solid camera system
I love how polished the UI is. Actions, gestures, smooth animations, no loading times
Very good display(feel like the colours are better calibrated for real life images, my old phone feels more fitted for games/sports)
How well designed the stock apps are AND the normal apps
The screen real estate(way better than any Android phone on the market right now, having virtually no chin and no actual home/back buttons gives you so much more to work with)
Face ID(WAY better than fingerprint detection, and integrated way better in your common day to day use)
Cameras(This is a beast in the camera department, if you get a good enough shot with decent lightning and some slight editing in post it's more than enough for a photo and video camera, plus it has enough shooting and editing tools as it is considering most people were talking about how barebones the Camera app is)
Battery(no comment. I can get away with charging it in the morning up to 75% and finish the day with around 25-30%. The battery never feels like draining up at all, whereas my old phone, even at full battery health, still needed some charging throughout the day)
Design(if I wasn't so concerned about easily damaging the phone, I could go with it caseless everyday. For a phone that has a glass back and stainless steel sides it's not slippery at all, compared to my old phone. It feels so comfortable to use, and I can handle it with one hand with ease)
    Great speakers, mic, buttons
Connectivity between other Apple products obviously
And so many more that I haven't been able to discover yet
Only downside is the price but when you look at what it offers and that I probably won't change it for the next 4-5 years if it still performs like this, if this is what you are looking for, it's worth it all the way through
Especially considering it will retain its value for the coming years probably, because these phones are so good and hold up so much over time that people genuinely have no interest in switching as often as they did in the past. I was considering getting an X before this but the price of one didn't go down for a year and a half to two years maybe, that's how good and sought after they are
