I'm heavily considering them after having demoed them for the first time this past weekend. Was skeptical about the weight but it felt perfect for my massive f***ing head lol. Plus, they make hard cases that contain the sleep mode magnet now, which is good enough for me for travel.

I've got a pair of ATH-SR50BTs rn and they're solid for the price, but the soundstage on the Max blew my mind. Threw on some Ben Böhmer and damn near floated in the store. Imo, I'm not confident that a 2nd gen is coming any time soon, and if I'm wrong I'm willing to bet the OGs will either hold value or be good enough for me to stick with regardless of the upgrades for several years.
