I don't like the menu text padding in the menu bar at all.
doesn't make sense you need to use a lower scaling just to see the entire menu bar elements.

I take issue with his conclusion about these being only tools for Pros. Just feels so snobby and gatekeeper-y to me, even if that’s not his intention
There’s only a $300 up charge to get the 14” from the 13” 2-port M1 when comparing the 16GB/512GB config, which are perfectly reasonable consumer specs, and you get a TON more out of your machine
Are they great tools for Pros? Of course. But they’re also just incredible machines for anyone who wants an incredible machine

I didn't take it that way
I think he just means the MacBook Air is more than enough for most that just look at Google Docs, Twitter and YouTube
I do agree though YouTubers can sound like gatekeepers telling people want they need and not telling them to try and figure out what they could justify.. the word need is stupid to use if someone could justify for whatever reason

Yeah but that's Dave2D
He makes rather short reviews, so when you're talking about such a massive upgrade it's hard to contain so much information in such a small timeframe
iJustine’s video is making me go for the base 14 inch
Mf edited 8K clips in DaVinci Resolve while having those same clips open in Final Cut with like 7 Safari tabs open, with Music and Notes open as well.
This s*** is insane, like what the f*** do I need the M1 Max or even 10 cores for I’m not even shooting in 8K
After I trade in my current MacBook price is going down to 1379 with a 1TB SSD upgrade

only reasons why I want the 16 inch is better thermal resistance and the fact I already edit on a 15 inch.
When you go big you can't go small

yeah I doubt I'll need more perfomance than this Macbook for a long time
if it wasn't for the HDMI 2.0 port I probably would keep it for at least 4 years like my last 3 Macbook
I may upgrade sooner for a HDMI 2.1 port unless someone makes a good dongle by then

Yeah I was confused too why they didn’t just put that on.
