same size screen as the current 16" if you don't count the menu bar
so it will be bigger, dark mode and a black background gonna make it disappear
Got the 16” 2019 macbook pro like the week it came out, now I’m wondering if I should upgrade. I still feel like my s*** is new lmao

I bet they spec these up to 18 cores in the next year or two
if I wasn't on an overheating 4 core that's almost 5 years old I'd wait for more CPU cores
it really depends on what you do with your machine though, there maybe no reason to upgrade yet that's still a nice machine and I bet they will make small adjustments to this new design in the first few years fixing any issues and probably adding a HDMI 2.1
if your using it mobile often though the battery will be a massive upgrade, also if you use the GPU or CPU heavy

still a great machine but even the Air and 13 inch M1 can outperform it in almost everything expect GPU lmfao
feels sad man

back from 1990-2013 every year the old computers would be 50% the speed of the new ones lol
the rate of change now is slow tbh but yeah this is still always bound to happen after enough years
they had those 6 cores i9s from 2018-2021

I bought the last i7 4 core Intel MacBook Pro before they added 8 core i9s
I know the feel
yeah it's hard to know when they do the redesigns, leaks and rumors can be wrong

it’s not even that, were comparing sub 1000-1500 bucks laptops to fully spec’d 16 inch Macbook Pro that cost 4/5k
the value for money is simply insane
the M1 Air doesn’t have fans and consumes much less power, s***s crazy
I think the leap was much higher with these, its industry shaping in the making

I mean that's what happens, it is a great deal compared to the old stuff and makes it look like trash
I think yall just got use to Intel putting out the same CPU for 7 years
AMD 5900hx beats the M1 and is in cheaper Windows Laptops now but the M1 Pro will beat that

no cap, it reached a point where it didn’t even matter upgrading the chip, they throttle like s***
you were better trying to find a faster SSD on these Intel machines

yeah the thermal performance was obviously terrible cause Apple assumed Intel would follow the roadmap like they had for decades and make them smaller nm
in the end the performance increases on CPUs from Intel were in the low-mid single digits every year and most that performance was lost after specter and meltdown were closed
luckily Apple, TSMC and AMD are making faster/smaller s*** finally
S***, might have to cop those new AirPods to match
someone getting ecosystem locked
if you get the watch there's no way back, it becomes a lemon if you sell your phone or ask someone for family setup.
You nearly have to sell the watch to get out.
what model you have on order chief?
Got the 14 inch 16gb 1tb. Im so excited lol my 2018 32gb pro is f***ing me up cant even handle mid size logic sessions cos of the heat throttling. Wbu

Niiiiiiice. I'm crazy excited too
I still haven't been able to decide on size so I have one of each on the way... M1 Max (10-core CPU and 32-core GPU), 32GB RAM / 2TB SSD / Silver. 14" delivers on launch day next Tuesday and 16" delivers Nov 3-5...
Why 16gb ram?
Dont have the money for the 32, i think itll be fine tho logic is way harder on the cpu than the ram in my experience and this laptop is only 6 core so

that's weird cause on launch day I could get the 16 inch 1TB or M1 Pro next week but I had to wait a month for the 2TB M1 Max
I think they got their orders in earlier than me tho
