I think every 4 years is good. depending on what the upgrade is. If they drastically changed the design i would upgrade sooner.

i highkey wish apple's hardware and design was as good as samsung's. the stove top cams are uglier than the rectangle samsung and most androids have on back

I really disagree I feel like no phone manufacturer comes close to apple's design. The hole punch camera is the easiest example, the way it doesn't proportionally fit on the screen with the software is just awful and can't believe they've actually green-lit that

i mean yes, i get that apples cares most about profit, that doesn't mean they shouldn't mean releasing annual products that can barely be physically told apart is okay. The dumb audience is just one factor that came to mind not THE factor

and for samsung it's cause they actually wanted to do the all screen front, like most other android manufacturers. they already did the slim top bezel but they don't have the faceid enclave to have to hide.

Just say it's the most recognizable design and Apple not trynna change a working formula. Also I'd rather a hole punch camera than the Lebron Hairline. More screen real estate.
