    for sure no problem

    enjoy the mac

thanks, couple more questions if you don't mind: is finder where I can find all my folders, like documents, downloads, desktop and add new ones?

and what do you recommend for storing local music files? an sd card with a usb c adapter or keeping files on the mac itself? don't think the m1s have an sd card reader

    1. yes

    2. I have tried keeping my music on a USB in the past but its annoying, you have to change the settings around to make it work, and you pretty much have to keep it plugged in at all times

I would recommend keeping everything on the Mac. When you click and drag your songs to the Music app it will copy everything to your music folder.

ok cool. when you dl files, can you have it copy from the downloads folder to the music folder as well so it's all in one place? then can just delete the file in downloads

Yes Music is the new iTunes.

To save all your playlists you will have to go into each one and you have to click Export Playlist. It should download as a txt file

I haven't used Spotify, and AFAIK it hasn't been updated for M1 yet, but yes it should still work under Rosetta

just imported my music files into mac music. looks like the xml library file doesn't save playlists and you were right, I needed to save each individually as a txt file. I've lost my playlists I guess. not sure what importing the xml library does then?

EDIT: I have some playlists on my iphone. anyone know how to copy playlists from iphone to mac music?

Do you guys think it’s worth to get iPad Air 4 to my for Christmas or should I wait for next gen?

  • Dec 16, 2020

I REALLY do like the mesh material for the earpads. I wish more over-the-ear phones would have mesh instead of trash pleather material that cracks after a year.

iPad Air 4 is the way to go, don't think next gen will be much of a significant upgrade
