ok I picked the perfect time to jump ship to Mac man. this m1 s*** is ridiculous.

I know the next iterations will be even crazier but I've never felt so secure in keeping a laptop for quite a few years.

even the only gripe is the webcam but its cool cause everyone has the same s***ty webcam as me

Absolutely. And you will get many years barring some weird failure. My last MBP easily lasted 4 years and could probably last another 4 but AFAIK my MBP from ‘09 is still working. Macs traditionally last a long ass time (decade+) but with any product there will be a percentage that have defects along the way

Just get 8gb, trust me. Lot of people will say 16 but for $200 I promise you will get almost no real world benefit. If money isn't a problem then do whatever, I'd just get a 16 inch at that point though. Decision would be more 8gb pro vs 8gb air, and at that point you might as well get the air
