yeah I'm holding off it's definitely tempting though
just think these only have 4 high performance cores imagine these chips with 8 or 12 performance cores
when they make a dedicated gpu...
iPhone 12 mini problems:
Lock screen has problems unlocking
Heats up for no reason (not getting super hot, but gets warm while sleep)
Just went from like 60% to 8% overnight while in SLEEP mode with factory settings. Only charged 40% in the past 3-4 hours its been on the charger. And this is a NEW phone.
Just got a call and it was very glitchy. Kept ringing even after I answered and started repeating like a bad record. I can't say that has ever happened to me with a phone before.
When I call the person back it does the same thing where it skips and repeats. I Actually cannot speak on my phone.
And I'm trying to restart it but this damn thing isn't even turning off. The power button is just bringing up siri and locking it.
But aside from all that its great!
omg im having the exact same issues, cant even pick up the phone sometimes when locked

Yeah, this is all bad. Gonna give it two or three more days and I'm returning it. Kinda felt like I didn't need it anyway.

going to be wild I think they’ll just put the GPU on a chiplet or something on the SOC for Laptops to save power
they still should be crazy though and I think on the Desktop side of things they’ll have some insane dedicated stuff for the Mac Pro and iMac Pro
ports
you don’t like how it only has 2?

I got my 12 mini today but I haven’t noticed any issues yet 🤔
Can someone tell me if this 8gb ram on the base model M1 chip MacBook Pro is enough. They are calling it "unified RAM" or some s***. Does it mean its somehow more efficient or should I shell out the extra $200 for 16gb ram

Unified just means the RAM is the same as the VRAM
How long do you plan on keeping the macbook? If more than like 5 years, I would get 16GB
If not, I would rather save the money
Hold down power button and volume button to shut it off
Whoops, guess I'm a goofball for that one. Weird that they changed it imo. @Chilla give it 24-48 hours to be sure.

I installed 16 gb and an SSD in my 2012 MacBook Pro
Doesn’t make sense to get 8 unless the ram is magically better. Think I’ll look out for a good deal on the M1, seems the perfect time to upgrade
SMH had no idea they was releasing a new Mac this month. I just bought a brand new MacBook back in July
I’m getting a HomePod mini. I’m skipping this year’s iPhone releases, I’ve had my XS Max for over a year now and it’s great, though I’m getting an issue with Safari and YouTube, basically I’m getting playback issues with every single video, they play fine on the YouTube app though.

Port master race
Yes
One to charge the laptop, one to charge the iPhone 12 Pro Max
Couldn’t wait for the AirPods refresh and got the pros
Pros will be $160 at Walmart on the 25th
