Although I've realised I'm chasing the Dragon, there was a pair of ~7 year old noise cancelling earphones I had that got discontinued & no other brand has ever come close to their performance

You could legit snap your fingers or knock a plaster wall/wooden door/glass window directly in front of it & the sound would be nothing but a miniscule 'plink' sort of sound or an extremely dull quiet thud-ish sound for the finger snap

There's nowhere around that I can buy them & I'm still vexed about it, they're so good I'd pay someone who could help me find em

Alas I'll just have to settle for these APP3s & trade my Bose 700s in for the QC Ultras

Fr my pro takes like 5 minutes to wake from sleep

everything is considerably slower and wildly inefficient for no reason. they even managed to somehow break the desktop too. every time I download something via Firefox, it reverts to these "sort by name, snap to grid" settings I never had and will stack every file into the top right corner unless I open up the options and shift the grid spacing back and forth. Can't even run 2 apps like, for instance, a web browser and Adobe Illustrator, at the same time without the fans cranking up to max and my laptop boiling. Been moving my files to external so I can downgrade and found a new bug: there's apparently issues recognizing and mounting certain external HDs including one I use, 4TB WD My Passport. Just great work all around from the Apple bunch

I’ve got a 2020 M1 MBP and luckily have never upgraded my software past Ventura for these same reasons. Feel like I’d only ever need to update when I get a new one would recommend the same to most.

I have a 2019 and I plan on downgrading soon but now I have to replace my 4tb external first bc Tahoe f***ed it up and can only be mounted in read only mode (though, it's only mounting on my backup 2012 mbp running High Sierra lol, I can at least still pull files off of it for the time being). I agree on not updating too. Idk why I gave in this time as I had been running Big Sur all this time.
