The Fold will apparently release in September / Fall (normal iPhone release window) in 2026

But the iPhone 18 line up will be delayed to the falling year of spring of 2027. So if you don’t get a 17 model this year and you’re not gonna get the Fold next year, you’ll have to wait until Spring 2027 for the next “regular iPhone”

So you just gotta weigh your options. If you like your 12 now and can wait a year and a half, then just wait. But if you’re itching for an iPhone get it now cus you’ll have to wait a year a half extra for the next one

Maybe I gotta give it more time but I’m not having any issues with IOS26 so far. Like I said it’s only been 30 minutes but everything has been extreme smooth and nothing weird has popped up while using it

my thoughts on colors after going to the store:

regular 17 model:

mist blue and white were my 2 finalists. white is nothing new but is extremely crisp. I've been on a black phone for a while so I cant in good faith fault anyone for choosing black, but I think white is much better than black if you want a plain Jane color.

sage is solid and it was my third contender. just a little too weird for me but a very strong choice.

the pink is great for chicks

the black is the worst color in my humble opinion.

pro models:

orange looks good but its definitely a weird color so u gotta be okay with that. I love that they gave this option.

dark blue really should have just been black. I dont love that it's such a DARK blue that feels like a mongrel offshoot of black.
