Start expanding to directors that are still among the most popular names but are more experimental in nature like Lynch. Or go back to earlier acclaimed directors like Kubrick, Jodorowsky etc

yesacThere's a chance you're not watching the right TV shows or movies that will actually interest you, I used to think I couldn't watch them without getting bored but it was just the stories and scripts were boring to me, if you find something that actually interests you will tell you how you really feel
