LacedTPAB was a complete left after GKMC. Morale was a complete left after Damn. No one expected those. All these drake songs are what u would expect from his output post scorpion. Not saying it's good or bad but yeah
Ehh that's crazy to me tbh, TPAB & GKMC really aren't that crazy different sonically at all to me, in terms of subject matter sure, but lets be real the majority of people aren't listening for subject matter
HNVM is way more left vs CLB than TPAB is v GKMC imo

If someone had a dormant account they didn't name yet in theory they could take the plottttwistttttt name at anytime after. But idk I haven't made a channel in 2 years so maybe they changed it

That’s not what I’m saying
and I can easily pull an example just like that with GKMC & TPAB But to say dropping a house album where you do the same singing vocal style as always, as your 10th album into your well established career, was as big as a risk is revisionist. He dropped it right after CLB then when it didn’t perform up to standards and got criticized, he followed up right away with Her Loss which is what “the people” wanted. While it is a departure from his usual sound, you can easily forget HNVM exists in the context of drakes career. It was treated as a side project.
Dropping an experimental jazz rap album 3 years after hip-hop starter pack GKMC is a way bigger risk
