Anna Biller (The Love Witch, Viva) finally has a new movie, her first feature in 10 years. It's called The Face of Horror and it takes the Japanese ghost story Yotsuya Kaidan to 14th-century England: a knight (Jonah Hauer-King) murders Eleanor's (Kristine Frøseth) father, cons her into marrying him, then dumps her for a rich widow (Bella Heathcote), and Eleanor comes back as a ghost for revenge. Ellie Bamber, Leo Suter and Ben Radcliffe are in it too.

Shot on 35mm in Prague by M. David Mullen (who also shot The Love Witch), and Biller wrote, edited and did the costumes herself again.

It world premiered at TIFF Midnight Madness in September:

Then it played Sitges and AFI Fest last week. Deadline called it a "Technicolor fever dream," but it still doesn't have a US distributor.
