the only part of crybaby I found scary was how it ended...at first I hated the ending but the fact that it got this reaction from me made me realize how terrifying it was

what i meant tho was that Crybaby isnt the first rec you'll get online when talking bout horror.....most of the time like u said it's higurashi, shiki, jigoku shoujo and stuff like that

in the anime community horror means gore and crazy s***.....while in my opinion psychological narratives that can f*** you up are more horror which is why i mentioned satoshi kon

I thought Satoshi Kon is pretty known for horror... But yeah most of anime fans are teenagers who want to be in a fandom you can't really have a fandom for Satoshi Kon movies

Devilman Crybaby is also gruesome and violent, but I think the scariest scene for me was when the apocalypse starts and people just start dying in the streets and killing each other because they can't trust anybody... I remember a scene like this and it felt really hopeless

I cant s*** on em...when I was a teenager I thought elfen lied and gantz were the greatest things ever

my point about horror to be exact is like comparing western horror movies like friday the 13th to Parasite....one doesnt go any deeper than what you see while the other affects you to your core

ngl I dont remember that much off crybaby just that it made me feel some sort of way most anime dont...if any

Mostly I remember the colors animation and the cool soundtrack not much of the plot but it was really good
