it's kinda hard for me to recommend it by itself if you haven't seen any other gundams prior to it (mobile suit gundam, mobile suit zeta gundam, and char's counterattack)

it's suppose to be sequel to char's counterattack so you get a lot enjoyment out of it since it draws a lot of references to that movie
