I'm a bit surprised you don't know about it, it was pretty famous when it dropped. It's a bit of a generic romance story, but the animation is beautiful and had a lasting impact on me.

I started watching anime more seriously at the beginning of the pandemic last year. besides food wars, OPM, and mha, the last time I actively watched anime was in like 2006 lol.

Bro I loved the ending. I have no idea what people were complaining about and many anime has no endings or way worse ones.

I also understand people want conventional happy endings. But given the circumstances wasn't this one of the best outcomes? I thought it was great.

Liz and the blue bird is pretty good. The style is way diff than the parent story Hibike Euphonium.

I would say you don’t necessarily have to. The style is completely different and focuses on 2 of the side characters from the main series. Music is a element of the movie but not really one of the main focuses (in terms of actually playing the instruments)

y’all gotta stop with the Franxx slander. it’s goofy and heavy handed and doesn’t have the BEST writing, but the overall vibe of the show is just soooooo fun and the plot and characters are super heartwarming.

all that along with having one of the single best characters in anime? Franxx is a classic

Like kuya said I think it's ok to pick it right up even though it's a sequel to a main series as it revolves around these two minor chars instead but the direction they went with the movie is way different. Almost like it only borrows the series character and venture off becoming its own thing detached from the main story
