i watched Zero second and still preferred UBW lol idk why everyone loves Zero so much.

from what im seeing of 86, the whole thing feels like its straight out of one of those YA dystopian novels that used to be everywhere. based off that i can understand why its so popular but idk if imma stick around much longer

apparently that classroom lecture scene was anime-original? that s*** was hella corny imo but at least it gives me slightly more faith in the source material

idk maybe all this cynicism is just from my reaction to AOT's ending bleeding in here. the battles do look pretty clean tho and next episode's title seems like its gonna be on some real edgy s***, so ill at least check that out before i decide to drop

AOTs ending was fine, people just got accustomed to non-stop violence & tragedy and played scenarios out in their head.

It’s a bit... out there to say the least. I think the ones who are watching it are familiar with the director (Shinbou Akiyuki), studio (shaft), and creator (Nisio Isin). There’s this style to it that’s very distinct to those 3 ^ when put together that I would think quite a bit of ppl became familiar with with the Monogatari series myanimelist.net/anime/5081/Bakemonogatari?q=Bakemo&cat=anime.

In short: it may come across as weird or sus if you haven’t seen any of the monogatari series lol. But after you become familiar to the author’s line of work (at least for me) it would be a good show to peep. Of course you could just say f*** it and try watching it anyways
