really enjoyed the show. was expecting it to be heavy fan service harem s*** but the fan service is very mild and even tho the mc has hella girls w him it’s more like friends/girls just being nice to him more than girls fighting over him on some romantic/sexual s***.

think I might have enjoyed it more than horimiya (for now) but not having to watch week to week might have something to do w it

Yeah Tomozaki was a fun watch. It was cool seeing him “level up” and I enjoyed the dialogue a lot between him and Hinami. Little details like Tomozaki fixing his posture and using hair product and s*** made it feel more realistic when seeing someone tryna glo up.

Ai's main shtick throughout the whole show was inspiring and empowering the girls in her eggs to help themselves (e.g. her first and second eggs distracting the Wonder Killers). Ai's personal problem throughout the show was the fear and uncertainty surrounding Koito's suicide eating away at her (and other stuff like the complicated feelings toward her mom as she felt her mom "abandoned" her for Sawaki). The true obstacle for Ai was accepting the everything that happened and learning to move on, not solving it like it's an episode of Scooby-Doo. Ai saving her alternate dimension self by killing the Wonder Killer Sawaki, which represented all that fear and uncertainty, was the conclusion of her personal arc.

After that, I don't f\*\*\*ing know. I think it's told out of order. (1) OG Ai got knocked unconscious by the attack. (2) Alternate Ai loses her eye. (3) "Flashback" to scene where Alternate Ai sees unconscious OG Ai from (1) and is resolved to defend her. Scene of smiling Alternate Ai without her eye which occurred after event (2). I genuinely have no idea what they were trying to accomplish by telling this in a weird out of order sequence tbh and I think they could have just told it in order.

Edit: This is just a crack theory, but there's also a possibility that the Ai's found a way to swap places and OG Ai sacrificed herself for Alternate Ai. I think OG Ai, after finding happiness, sacrificing herself to save someone would fit fairly well with everything that has happened tbh. She never got a chance to save Koito, but giving Alternate Ai a second chance at life would be something she would be cool with doing.
